Many companies are focused on selling the features and benefits of their products.

Yes you are right!

I am talking about the science of perception and the art of persuasion. I am talking about marketing.

Apple isn’t about selling personal computers, it’s about ‘thinking different’ and challenging the status quo.

Now let’s get started with the principle of Marketing

Just as creativity comes from the “right-brain”, science-driven marketers are predominantly “left-brain” thinkers.

In other words, they operate based on logic, facts and analysis rather than emotions and artistic intuition. Well, we have to keep in mind that marketing is more than advertising and selling.

WHY??

It’s better to be first in the mind than to be first in the market.

Think about, how Amazon takes care of their customers.They are tend to make customers life comfortable and easier.

Their goal is to keep an existing customer happy by connecting with them through social media so that they can remain a customer for life.

So, you need to be very specific about your “Customers Want or Need” .

Now a days, they have extended their services from launching Amazon Prime, Consumer Electronics, Digital Content, Amazon Videos, Amazon Games Studio, Groceries etc., which means they are supplying accordingly to the customer. In turn, Amazon is capturing a position in the minds of the consumers. This means Amazon is sending the right message, to the right person at the right time. Marketing doesn’t only mean selling a product.

At this point a confusion arises. Right?

Which Method to choose???? Which is the best method?

Here I will draw your attention on this topic.

Digital Marketing vs. Traditional Marketing: Why not both?

Marketing is a tradition that has existed since the dawn of civilization. And it is something that AI can’t replace.

If we talk about communicating with customers only a human can do it.

But looking at the present scenario, marketing is done two ways, with or without an internet connection, a.k.a. Digital Marketing or Traditional marketing.

You may have seen print, broadcast, outdoor advertising like billboards. From Newspapers ads, Television ads to Radio ads, this method of marketing helps to reach targeted audiences and refer to as Traditional Marketing.

Inversely, digital marketing is … well … digital. Digital marketing is any marketing a company conducts online, such as paid social media ads, email marketing, and PPC advertising.

Digital marketing has become widely popular due to the cultural, technological, and societal shifts around us.

Deepak Kanakaraju used to say that “Digital Marketing is more of marketing than digital, because digital is only a medium to keep on engaging the customer.”

So, which one is better???????

You know everything has some pros and cons. Some internet users have ad blockers, so they will never see pop-ups or banner ads. Other times, ads can be skipped or removed if a user pays for premium services.

On the contrary, even you can’t skip the ads on TV and Radio but it definitely reach to the targeted audiences.

Hence, when considering which marketing strategy is best for your business, consider your audience, where they get their information from, and use that to make your decision.

When deciding between traditional marketing vs. digital marketing, it’s not necessarily true that one is simply better than the other as they serve different purposes. The bottom line is that you need to fully understand your business and your audience to pick the strategy that’s better for you.

A = Attention: Capturing your customer’s attention paves the way to being remembered — to standing out amongst all the other messages coming at consumers at any given time and winning a more permanent spot in the mind of the consumer

T= Trust: By building trust between you and your customers, you are establishing better work ethics with your employees, improving your business’s reputation and, most importantly, you are providing something of worth to your customers.

T= Transaction: Convert your leads into customers with natural sales methods. It is a business strategy that focuses on single, “point of sale” transactions. The emphasis is on maximizing the efficiency and volume of individual sales.

Well, now we have a vivid idea about Marketing, we have learned how to engage and keep existing customers for lifetime.

Still a question arises- what is the best way of doing it?

The answer is “All of it”.

Start Consulting other businesses instead of working for them.
